Mission statement

The Creative Institute exists to launch exceptional new filmmakers beyond the classroom and into real productions, real networks, and real releases. We identify serious emerging talent early—from high school extension programs through to advanced industry practice—and provide the mentorship, resources, and pathway to release work that audiences actually see.

Our mission is simple: help filmmakers make their stories, then get them into the world.

Designed for Production

We’re a team of top Media educators in Perth, Western Australia—exceptional teachers going against the trend. Our students have earned dozens of film festival awards, reflecting what happens when film education is treated like the real craft it is: demanding, collaborative, and built on high standards.

We’ve seen where the traditional system falls short—too much theory, not enough momentum, and not enough real-world connection. So we’re doing it differently. The Creative Institute is built for 21st century filmmaking: project-based learning, industry-minded mentorship, and an empowering culture that turns passionate students into capable filmmakers.

Build your own classroom

We want our film makers to experience the power of being imaginative. Away from the traditional desk, chairs and white boards, we encourage our students to practice their imagination and bring their stories to screen by nurturing an environment that supports their creative thinking.
